Welcome to Saul Reed's Home Page!
I am currently a Ph.D. student at the University of Nevada, Reno. My master's thesis includes work with self-organizing maps, or Kohonen maps, which is a form of vector quantization, creating autonomous groups of data.
My current interests in computer science include artificial intelligence, software engineering, and human-computer interaction.
My mentor and Ph.D. advisor is Dr. Sergiu Dascalu.
Work
My current employer is Chromalloy-Nevada, an aerospace company, located in Carson City, Nevada. There, I am a software engineer, where I create versatile programs used in the operation and success of the company.
