UPDATE: I have graduated in December, 2010!
I am a Ph.D. candidate working in the area of networks with Dr. Yuksel.
My research interests are in computer networking with a focus on free-space-optical
(FSO) wireless networking and its comparison to RF in multiple perspectives.
My current work is concentrated on characterization of capacity scaling of free-space-optical
mobile ad hoc networks (MANETs), 3-D optical wireless localization, prototyping multi-transceiver nodes, cross-layer buffering for such multi-element
network nodes and power consumption analysis of FSO and RF .
I am interested in optical (gigabit-scale) wireless networking approaches, multi-transceiver directional communication systems, software radio and
multiple-input-multiple-output systems.
